Little Orchard Preschool, Inc. is a member of the Professional Association for Childhood Education (PACE) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). I have facilitated classes for NAEYC to help further the education of California's preschool teachers and I have taught Child Development and Life Span courses to University students.

My personal goals are to provide a high quality program for children and education for their families. Also, to promote a sense of community and continuity between home and school for children. I also want to provide a learning site for practicing teachers in the field of Early Childhood Education.

I enjoy the opportunities I have to talk with families about goals they have for their children. I know our program makes a difference and encourages a lifelong love of learning in children. That is why I am passionate about our program. I welcome you to stop in for a tour of the facility, to meet the staff and observe the children's program. I look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

Susan Piette

Great preschool. Loving, caring, happy, kind and educated preschool teachers. Strengths are that the children are happy, safe, well cared for and taught in the way that they learn. Weaknesses I'm not sure, but perhaps they should get an email address. But, it's not a problem because they always talk with you.

This school is really good at helping children interact in a positive way with each other. All the teachers have a lot of experience and knowledge in how to teach children. I would recommend this preschool to anyone wanting the best for their child. I always felt good leaving my child with the wonderful, loving teachers.

I have not seen too many other schools with this type of program. It’s like preschool should be.

Conflicts between children are handled extraordinarily well in a way that not only gives me confidence in the safety of my child but also reassures me that my child (and his/her peers) are learning the early skills needed to socialize effectively with one another.

They are always updating the facility and it is clean and safe. The environment is child friendly.

This is a place where children are children, where they play, interact and have fun. It can be messy, because children are learning through play. There are always a variety of activities and materials for the children. This place is for children.

I love this school. All three of my children have gone and we have another on the way. We feel very comfortable leaving our children. The teachers are professional. The environment is safe and clean. The activities provided are fun and educational.

These teachers are very educated and trained in appropriate ways to handle children's interactions. They understand children and they do enjoy their job. Consistently, day after day the staff has interesting activities for children to do, always a positive attitude and the children are obviously happy here. I highly recommend this preschool. It's clear once you watch a portion of the program the difference you see. They are definitely what I consider high quality. They are a legitimate preschool program although they are open all day too.

Check out the school early in February or March of each year as they do not keep a waiting list and fill up quickly. They enroll in May for the summer and fall sessions. Families currently enrolled have priority.
