Our Staff qualifications exceed the state licensing requirements.  Teachers are well educated in Early Childhood Education and Child development holding a Child Development Permit from the State of California, child development units, an AA, B.A. or M.A. Degree in Child Development.

All Staff hold a current child CPR and First Aid Certificate and a Health and Safety Certificate. 

Teachers attend annual workshops to keep up to date in current research and teaching methodologies in Early Childhood Education and Child Development.  In addition, all staff have training in the High/Scope research based approach to early childhood education. Teachers are specifically trained in language and literacy, math and science, creative representation, music and movement and social/emotional development using the High/Scope method for helping children gain initiative and a love for learning. High/Scope is an active learning program that engages children in the learning process. Teachers carefully plan foundational educational activities that children are interested in. Teachers have the necessary knowledge in child development to engage children's interests as well as support their continuing development in all the  crucial foundational skills and concepts. Over our 18 years teaching preschool children we can attest that children who have attended our program are highly successful in their future educational journey. The key is to help children to develop a higher level of thinking, ability to make positive choices, the initiative to engage in and have excitement and interest for learning, and social competence.
